Here are a few animal related happenings that you should check out this Saturday, June 19th. I’m sad to say that I will not be in attendance, I’ve got the Watermelon Run in the morning, a cookout with Jerritt’s crew in the afternoon and then off to see Jerritt’s family in the evening 🙂 Have a great one!
9am-3pm It’s Meow or Never will be having a massive yard/craft/bake sale at the Gentle Shepherd Church located at 4738 Thomasville Rd. (Just south of Ox Bottom Rd.) All proceeds will benefit our local Tallahassee stray and feral cats.
We will have everything from plants, to baby items, furniture, food, pet art work, to pets up for adoption! A little of everything!
Some of our vendors include:
- Patti Maney, a local artist will be doing pet portaits right there on scene! Please see her attached flyer.
- Gadsden County Humane Society will also have their adorable, kissable puppies and kittens out there available for adoption.
- Espositos donated lots of plants that will also be looking for new homes.
We’ll also have pizza, fresh squeezed lemonade, and lots of yummy homemade baked goods for sale, such as cinnamon rolls, cookies, and angle food cake with fresh blueberries and strawberries. All along with our yard sale items you can comb over for good deals. So come load up and remember to bring your reusable totes!
All proceeds benefit It’s Meow or Never a local non-profit serving stray and feral cats. Questions? Call Kerry at 576-2676 or Mary at 556-4458. Want to learn more about It’s Meow or Never, visit us at www.MySpace.com/ItsMeowOrNeverForFerals
4:00pm-8:00pm at the Market Square Pavilion
Anyone who has a passion for good beer and/or animals should make their way to the Market Square Pavilion on June 19th for “Pints for Paws!” The North Florida Brewers League is sponsoring this event by providing high-quality homebrewed beer for event-goers and the best thing is: All proceeds will directly benefit the Animal Shelter Foundation.
So get up here on June 19th! There’s gonna be a ton of awesome craft beer made locally here in Tallahassee!
P.S. If your beer preferences end with Bud Lite, Miller Lite or Coors Lite, you may be disappointed, but we’ll try to convert you anyways!
